Synapse Academics was founded in Oklahoma by Oklahomans who want to see an improvement in academic achievement in the next generation of students. Synapse Academics aims to guide motivated students through their journey, wherever it may take them.
Our Story
Welcome! I want to share my motivation for founding Synapse Academics and what I hope to build with this company.
I have always been academically motivated. Throughout my journey, I had to learn a lot about the process through experience and valuable relationships. I worked to design a path that would allow me not only to graduate in three years but also to fulfill all the requirements for medical school admission while saving time for my personal goals. I navigated the MCAT and created a customized study schedule to achieve a high score efficiently.
Reflecting on my experience, it would have been smoother if I had a mentor who laid down this path. Furthermore, the educational attainment in the State of Oklahoma is renowned for being poor and unremarkable relative to other states. While I am fortunate to have had excellent support, many students do not have the same opportunities and make decisions that cost them down the line. I believe students deserve better, and simply having a mentor can go a long way. However, online mentoring services are usually cost-prohibitive, with rates of over $200-$ 300 an hour.
Therefore, I started my consultancy to provide high-quality, personalized mentorship for students at reasonable rates. I will work diligently to achieve this goal, not only by delivering excellent mentorship and consulting services to students but also by expanding our offerings to reach a broader student base and enhance academic achievement in Oklahoma and beyond.

Hicham Nouh, Lead Consultant
Hicham graduated from Mercy School Institute, a local Oklahoma School, in 2022 as the class Valedictorian. He went on to graduate with a B.S. in Biology from the University of Oklahoma in 2025, earning Summa Cum Laude Honors. He is now starting a career in medicine as a Medical Student at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in Oklahoma City. Hicham has always been passionate about education and has been helping others since high school. Recently, he has focused on the pre-medical path by guiding younger peers on which classes to take, designing MCAT study plans, and helping them navigate their application cycle. Outside of academics, Hicham enjoys hiking, soccer, and surfing whenever he gets the chance.

Nirwaan Azhar, Computer Science Consultant
Nirwaan Azhar is a computer scientist currently working at MapLarge. He completed his degree in only 3 years. He graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2025 from the University of Oklahoma with a B.S. in Computer Science. In addition to his employment, he is pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Science at the University of Oklahoma. Passionate about helping others, Nirwaan joined as a consultant to mentor future students who aspire to become computer scientists. Nirwaan would love to guide prospective students in optimizing their path by choosing the right classes for faster graduation, acquiring internships, and offering valuable insights along the way. In his free time, Nirwaan likes to explore the local coffee scene, hike new trails, and go camping.
